100 Days of Marvel: Road to Infinity War - Day 38: Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (S3, E6-10)

Alright, unfortunately someone from Marvel Studios saw what I was building over here and decided they wanted to crush everything I been leading up to. If you have not heard today's amazing announcement, Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War has been moved up a full week for release! That means that I don't have time to do 100 days of Marvel proper. On the one hand, THANK GOD Infinity War comes out a whole week sooner, so I get to see it sooner, feel it sooner, love it sooner. But on the other hand, I was constructing something amazing out here (own horn tooted). I was proud of this 100 day series, and no matter what I do I can't go back in time and fix the days.

So what am I going to do? Well, for 7 or 8 of the days, I will do a combined post. 2 or 3 days in one day. In the end, it will be more like 93 days of Marvel, but hey - this is outside of my control. And, only 10 people of 7 Billion read this anyway.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 3, episodes 6-10 is the other topic tonight, and I, of course, have thoughts.

Poor Coulson. He just can't catch a break. His love interest character was murdered, horribly, he had to kill one of his former pupils, he has inhuman DNA that the show is not really playing with anymore. When he is on the alien world I felt so sad for him when he dreams about her. Additionaly, his Tatooine joke is killer.

Skye / Daisy / Agent D / Tremors - whatever- is still here. That is about. Her character has actually gotten worse imo. For one, she rarely hacks anything anymore, which was her thing. She has powers now, but woopity do, she seems to have come to terms with them, and it doesnt't really feel all that earned because it was too quick a switch from "i hate this," to " I can love with this." I do like how her moments of pressure help her learn something new, not only about her powers, but about her self. I guess the dad character is just gone.

FitzSimmons FINALLY moved their relationship forward. I must admit, I am glad Will is dead. I didn't like the idea that he would come between them (though, he may still, but in a different way). The show already did this with Agent Trip, so we don't need that again.

The way Coulson cracks Ward's chest is brutal. I swear I heard "FATALITY" in the diegetic background, and that when he died Coulson took his spine and went into 'victor Scorpion' stance.

Hydra, as an Organization, is pretty dumn. I wander how that thng brought Ward to life
